Doe Deere has become a fascinating figure in the world of popular culture. She is neither an actress nor a singer but has a popular following and an engaging appeal and presence. She even has a mystique about who is the real Doe Deere. She is a savvy business woman who has either hidden her true self behind extreme makeup, hair color, and gaudy clothes or is the personification of her quirky dynamic and colorful makeup and wild and mismatched clothes. She does all this in the name of fashion while she is destroying fashion convention with each outrageous new look. The fact is that despite all this she endures. Is she this cosmetic and fashion maverick of the caliber of a Coco Chanel or is it all a facade? Deere, the person, is far from unattractive, and recently a renowned photographer used her as a model for an oversized portrait photograph, which sold for $90,000. Deere was pictured with a ceramic doll created by an artist in her likeness. The portrait photograph was asking the same question that many of us including Leonardo DaVinci asked with his famous painting of the Mona Lisa. Who is she?
In a recent interview conducted by Galoremag.com, questions were asked about Deere. She admitted to being an artistic child fascinated with makeup and color. Deere recounted having friends over for slumber parties and playing with makeup. One personal insight and a confession by Deere was that she wasn’t very good at makeup until into her early 20’s. A quick Wikipedia search gives us a little concrete knowledge but no insights and includes a photo of a younger less dynamic Doe Deere. From Russia, she moved to New York City and currently resides in Los Angeles. She studied fashion in NYC but dropped out early to pursue riches via Ebay. It was on Ebay when she began personally modeling her products and soon morphed into the creature she has now become. Deere is diminutive in size but not in impact. She is in her middle 30’s, and well on her way to creating a brand, Lime Crime, and a fortune. She is married, but her husband receives little mention by Deere, herself.
Besides her physical charms, Deere is to be admired for the tenacious control she exerts over her business, Lime Crime. She is inseparable from Lime Crime, and while men have no interest in makeup, they are fascinated by this unique and unusual woman. Will more knowledge and exposure of Doe Deere decrease the hold she has over her customer base and others who find her mysterious, befuddling and fascinating?
